National Council for Science and the Environment

The National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE) is a non-profit organization in Washington D.C. working "to improve the scientific basis for environmental decision-making." The Council brings together researchers, educators, environmental organizations, business organizations and government bodies to collaborate and to use environmental knowledge to help shape environmental decisions. Strategic areas of activity include scientific research, education and career development, sponsorship of a national conference on policy and the environment, communication of science-based information, and promotion of science for the environment.
