Institute of International Education - Office for Latin America

The Institute of International Education (IEE) promotes international exchange and study to encourage acquisition of knowledge and innovation in all fields of study. IEE seeks to prepare its program participants to take advantage of scholarships and other educational opportunities to study and train at the best educational institutions. IEE seeks to promote leadership abilities and to improve the capacity of individuals to face local and global challenges. Interns in the scholarship program in IEE's Mexico City office assist with administration of scholarship programs funded by major corporate foundations. Intern responsibilities include assisting with promotional activities, communicating with universities and Mexican students, responding to information requests, and preparing proposals and budgets. Interns in the Educational Advising Division in IEE's Mexico City office assist in promoting U.S. higher education by offering comprehensive and objective guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access educational opportunities in the U.S. Responsibilities include conducting presentations to groups of students, conducting research, planning outreach activities, and editing a monthly newsletter. Interns work in Mexico City, Mexico. Fluency in spanish is required.
