Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is an independent agency which regulates the interstate transmission of energy, including natural gas, oil and electricity. FERC's goal is "reliable, affordable energy through reliance on competition and effective regulation." FERC offers both a Summer Intern Program and an academic year program for students. FERC is located in Washington, D.C.
