Stanford offers many courses with content related to the study of land and life in North American West across a wide range of departments and programs. The Bill Lane Center does not offer a major or minor in the study of the North American West, but its faculty can advise interested students in how to build a field of study around Western topics within and outside of their major department. Each academic year, the Bill Lane Center sponsors courses to enrich Stanford's curriculum about the North American West. These courses are taught by the Bill Lane Center's faculty and scholars or by faculty who receive course development support from the Center.
