Lane History Corner (Building 200)

As part of the Bill Lane Center for the American West's Winter Seminar series, please join us for a talk by Sean Gerrity, President of the American Prairie Reserve. Lunch will be provided. Attendees are asked to please RSVP by Friday, March 8.
Description
For more than a decade, American Prairie Reserve has been working to assemble a multimillion-acre wildlife park in northeastern Montana using a unique conservation model. By purchasing small tracts of private land to glue together huge swaths of fragmented public lands, the Reserve is restarting the era of large-scale conservation—entirely with private funds. Learn why the Reserve—now spanning 274,000 acres and open to the public—is becoming a model for conservation around the world, and how APR has teamed up with Stanford students to uncover the region’s rich history.
