Center Internships
The Center’s pre-arranged internship program offers opportunities for currently enrolled Stanford students and graduating seniors, primarily during the summer. Center interns work in a variety of organizations throughout the West and come from a wide range of academic disciplines. Previous Center interns have worked at Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, American Prairie Foundation, San Francisco Estuary Institute, New America Media, Cantor Arts Center at Stanford, ABWW Law and Sunset. Interns have worked in areas such as archeology, ethnography, archives, historical research, ecology, museum collections, landscape history and market research. Each year, the Bill Lane Center adds new internships at a variety of organizations throughout the American West, and sponsors new interns at many of its previously offered internship sites.
