Internships Overview
The Internship Program at the Bill Lane Center for the Study of the North American West encourages students to pursue opportunities which will enhance their knowledge of the past, present and future of the North American West. The program supports students seeking West-related opportunities in three ways: (1) the Center sponsors pre-arranged internships for Stanford undergraduate and graduate students, (2) it maintains a list of West-related organizations which manage their own internship programs, and (3) the Center supports West-related on-campus research opportunities for undergraduates. The Center’s pre-arranged internship program offers opportunities for currently enrolled Stanford students and graduating seniors, primarily during the summer. Center interns work in a variety of organizations throughout the West and come from a wide range of academic disciplines. For further details, visit Center Internships. The Center also maintains relationships with organizations throughout the West which operate their own internship programs. Students interested in these internships can obtain additional information by visiting Other West Internships. In addition to internships, the Center, in collaboration with the office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE), offers on-campus summer research opportunities for Stanford undergraduates. Research projects support faculty research and vary depending on faculty needs. For further information, please visit On-Campus Research. Internship Contact Information Julie Martinez |
