As an Entrepreneur in Residence in US/Mexico Sustainability matters, Esteban is currently contributing to the Center's USAID-funded project consulting for the Mexican Government on meeting its Paris Climate Agreement goals, among other energy and water projects. Previously, Esteban was selected as a Stanford Energy & Environmental Equity Fellow for the California Energy Commission, which he enabled to meet State Legislature mandate on time and to budget.

Esteban is a Sustainability Strategy & Business Development Executive with more than 20 years’ experience inspiring cross-functional stakeholders along the journey from big vision to tangible products, processes and policies that help organizations transition to the Circular Economy and contribute to mitigating Climate Change.  He has a range of cross-cultural work experience in Mexico, China, France, Japan, Singapore and other countries, in the oil, auto, high-tech, health-care and water industries.

Esteban’s consulting projects have included policy recommendations and authoring reports on zero-emission vehicles for Governor Brown’s Office of Planning and Research, on waste management for CalRecycle, on conservation portfolio strategy for The Nature Conservancy, and on education technology for Ericsson.  Esteban has also delivered $200M+ in savings and revenue performing sustainable supply chain optimization as Director at GE Healthcare, and in Supply Chain Strategy roles at Motorola and Cisco Systems.  He has generated repeat business with/for these and other clients and employers, including Schlumberger earlier in his career.

An entrepreneur by nature, Esteban co-founded a submarine sustainable-desalination technology start-up, Naiad Physics, backed by GE Ventures and Lemnos VC, where he beat the prototype development & test budget originally set forth by 60%.
