Julia Barrero

Research Assistant
2011 - Present
Class of 2014

Julia will be a Junior in the fall and is interested in History as well as Communications, particularly journalism. This is her second year doing research with the Bill Lane Center and this summer, she is taking on the issue of wolf management in Idaho. She's hoping to discover how Idahoans understand this controversial animal biologically, economically, and culturally. This solo research project will further prepare her to be a course assistant for the BLC's sponsored Sophomore College course in September, "People, Land, and Water in the Heart of the West". Julia was herself a participant in the Bill Lane Center's Sophomore College course last year, which analyzed the issue of water in the west by taking a two-week river rafting expedition on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.
