Anna Garbier

Research Assistant
2012 - Present

B.A. Linguistics, 2012

Anna received her B.A. in Linguistics from Stanford in 2012. As a member of Stanford’s rowing team, Anna saw the sun rise over the San Francisco Bay more often than not during her four years of early morning rowing practices. She’s excited to re-discover the Bay this summer as a research assistant for the Center’s Year of the Bay project. The project combines virtual crowdsourcing techniques and hands on experiences of the Bay in an effort engage the public in creating a collaborative understanding and appreciation of the Bay. Anna is bringing to the project a love of data, patterns, storytelling, visual arts, cartography, and of course, a love of the American West.
