Matt Grossman is a junior economics major. At the Bill Lane Center, where he is a research assistant to David Kennedy and John McChesney, his work focuses on using statistical analysis to explain economic development patterns in today’s rural American west. Raised in New York City, Matt grew fascinated by the west’s culture and its natural beauty on family trips to national parks. Previously, Matt interned on the economics staff of the American Embassy in Moscow, and in the Senator Chuck Schumer’s Washington office.
