The American Studies Program and The Bill Lane Center for the American West Invite you to a lunch conversation with Carrie Kemper (Stanford '06), writer and producer of the Emmy-nominated HBO series “Silicon Valley.” The program is a comedy partially inspired by the creator Mike Judge's experiences as a Silicon Valley engineer in the late 1980s. An article in Vanity Fair quoted Kemper in praising the writers' portrayal of women on the show, which begins its third season on April 24.

Carrie Kemper’s other TV writing credits include "The Office" and Comedy Central's "Nathan For You.” She majored in American Studies and graduated from Stanford in 2006.

Pizza will be served. Enrollment is limited, and attendees are asked to RSVP by May 9th using the form below.
