Recently, Leon spoke with the Stanford News Service about the extremes of the western climate and the importance of seeking solutions for western water issues.
On Monday, August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will pass over the Pacific Northwest. The solar industry’s success in California means that the electric grid operators will have to plan for a period of time when the sky goes dark and solar generation plummets. While the generation loss is significant, it’s not the only problem.
