Sierra Garcia

Sierra Garcia is a coterminal M.A. student in the Earth Systems environmental communication program and the summer 2019 editorial assistant for the Center's '...& the West' blog. A lifelong resident of Monterey County, California, she grew up loving the ocean and received her B.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford in 2018 with an emphasis on oceans and climate. Previous reporting on the American West has included an in-depth look at how a California community recovered in the aftermath of an extreme wildfire.
